A Trip to Paris
Two weeks before I was scheduled to arrive in Paris, the horrific 'November Paris Attacks' took place. The country was in shock, mourning, and in an official state of emergency. Upon my arrival, there was an expected change to the rhythms and dynamics of the city. There was a highly visible police presence in every major corner. Entrances to most large indoor spaces required checking bags, and opening coats. Apart from this trauma from which the city was still reeling, there was a palpable resistance to succumbing to fear. Though streets, metro cars and cafe's were less crowded then they usually would be, there was still a presence of the city's inhabitants and tourists alike. This video was an exploration of resilience and identity of a prideful nation’s capital in transition.
